Periya double murder: 9 accused shifted to Kannur Central Jail

Kerala: Nine accused convicted in the Periya double murder case have been shifted from the maximum security prison in Viyyur to Kannur Central Jail. Peethambaran, Rajneesh, Sudheesh, Srirag, Anil Kumar, Saji, Ashwin, Subeesh and Suresh were the accused in the case. The explanation from the officials is that the change is being made following the directions of the Kochi CBI court, which is the trial court. The accused had earlier sought transfer to Kannur.
