People of third caste beat up a woman in Kalyan’s Khadakpada
Maharashtra: In the night, three third caste people and their companion stopped a woman in Khadakpada area of Kalyan West and demanded Rs 20,000 from her. Also, the third caste people conspired to beat up the woman and her younger daughter after abusing her in obscene language. This incident happened five days ago. The woman has lodged a complaint in this regard at Mahatma Phule Police Station. Police said that the complainant woman lives in Flower Valley area of Khadakpada area. Due to the girl’s ill health, she was going to the hospital with her younger daughter at around 8 pm.
When she was leaving the entrance of the society, three third caste people living in Netivali area of Kalyan East and their companion stopped the woman on the way. They abused and beat her. They demanded Rs 20,000. When the woman did not give the money, all four people beat her with kicks and punches. They threatened to kill her if she did not pay the demanded amount. Three people of the third caste also beat up a sick girl. Women of the third caste also behaved indecently with this woman. The complainant woman had complained about these three people of the third caste to the head of her organization. The woman has said in her complaint that no attention was paid to it. The case is being investigated under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Dnyaneshwar Sable.
