Passengers got down from Secunderabad-Agartala train after seeing smoke in AC coach
Bhubaneswar (IANS) | People are so scared after the Balasore train accident that the passengers of the Secunderabad-Agartala Express got down on seeing smoke from the AC coach at Odisha’s Berhampur railway station on Tuesday. According to reports, smoke emanated from the electrical installation of B5 AC coach.
The passengers immediately got down from the train and demanded a change of coach.
East Coast Railway (ECoR) said, it has been informed that there was a minor electrical problem in coach number B-5 of train number 07030 Secunderabad-Agartala Express near Berhampur station. On-duty staff rectified the problem immediately.
In the June 2 tragedy, the Chennai-bound Coromandel Express, the Howrah-bound SMVP-Howrah Superfast Express and a goods train crashed near Bahnaga Bazar railway station, killing at least 278 people and injuring over 1,100.
