Park Eun-bin and ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo ready for a new drama

New Drama: Park Eun-bin and ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo, who previously co-hosted the Seoul Drama Awards in 2021, are set to team up again for a new drama, tentatively titled The Wonder Fools. The upcoming series, which will explore the lives of imperfect superheroes, will be directed by Yoo In-shik. The series was initially titled The B Team. Its concept was originally developed by the late great comic book writer Stan Lee. The show is reportedly in the early stages of production. Both Eun Bin and Eun Woo are in talks with the producers and a formal announcement is expected soon. Interestingly, the upcoming drama will also be Park Eun-bin’s second project with Yoo In-shik, who collaborated with the director on the hit series Extraordinary Attorney Woo. While Park Eun-bin’s agency, Namu Actors, has not confirmed her participation in the show, Fantagio, the agency representing Cha Eun-woo, has said that the K-pop idol has received an offer for the drama and is currently reviewing the script.

According to an official statement shared by Isplus, her agency said, “The drama, The Wonder Fools (working title) is a project that Cha Eun-woo has received an offer for and is currently garnering positive reviews.” Meanwhile, if both stars agree to join The Wonder Fools, Park Eun-bin will play the lead role of Lee Woon Jung and Cha Eun-woo will appear as Yoon Chae-nee. According to Soompi, the upcoming drama will focus on the lives of flawed superheroes who struggle with unexpected superpowers. Previously, Cha Eun-woo starred in The Wonderful World which ended in April. Cha Eun-woo also reached out to fans through his 2024 fan concert, Just One 10 Minutes, and made headlines with his appearance at Waterbomb Seoul 2024 on July 5. Speaking with GQ Korea about attending the event for the first time, the ASTRO star said, “Actually, I was very nervous there. I wondered if it would be okay for me to be there. So I couldn’t hear the audience’s cheering properly at that time. After I got off the stage, I saw the fans’ reactions, and I realized there was a lot of cheering and support. But on stage, I had no idea at all. I was just very nervous.” Meanwhile, actress Park Eun-bin was part of the popular Kdrama Castaway Diva.
