Panipat: A 19-year-old girl admitted for treatment was molested in the hospital

Panipat: A case of molestation of a 19-year-old girl admitted for treatment in a hospital located in Devi Murti Colony of Panipat by a hospital compounder has come to light. The incident is said to have taken place around 3:00 in the morning. The girl was admitted to the ICU of the hospital.
The compounder sent the family members of the girl out saying that he would give her an injection. The victim informed her family about this incident. When the family complained about this to the doctor, the doctor instead of taking action against the compounder slapped the victim’s attendant, on which the family immediately called the police by dialling 112.
On the complaint of the family, the in-charge of the city police station, along with female police officers, reached the hospital to investigate. Meanwhile, the wife of the hospital operator advised the victim’s family to withdraw the case, on which the family got angry in the hospital itself, due to which there was a ruckus in the hospital premises for a long time. The family members allege that the wife of the hospital operator herself is a government doctor by profession who is working in Chandigarh. The family alleges that the police has also been talking to the doctor in a closed room for about one and a half hours in the hospital. The family is being pressurized to withdraw the case but the victim’s family is not going to come under pressure under any circumstances. The family says that if action is not taken here, they will complain about it to the Women’s Commission and even to the CM.
