Panchayat Secretary Dies of Electrocution in Khammam

NALGONDA: On Sunday, Lakavath Suresh—a 35-year-old Gram Panchayat Secretary of Thimaraopet—died from an electric shock at Mangali Tanda in Khammam district. Suresh was a native of Govindarala in Karepalli Mandal and resided in Karepalli with his family. According to the police, Suresh had visited his uncle’s house in Mangali Tanda on Saturday. While attempting to switch on an inverter inside the house, he suffered a severe electric shock and died on the spot. He is survived by his wife and two children. Upon receiving the information, the Karepalli police immediately rushed to Mangali Tanda and sent Suresh’s body to the mortuary at the Government General Hospital in Khammam for a post-mortem examination.
