Palghar: High speed SUV hits motorcycle, one dead

Palghar: A 29-year-old man was killed when a speeding SUV hit a motorcycle in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, police said on Saturday. The district rural police have arrested the SUV driver Sachin Surwase following the accident in Manor on Friday afternoon, an official said.
The accident occurred around 2.30 pm when the victim, Sagar Patil, was riding his motorcycle and the speeding SUV hit him, causing him to fall, he said. Patil suffered serious injuries and succumbed to his injuries, the official said. A case has been registered against the accused driver under relevant provisions of the Indian Justice Code and the Motor Vehicles Act, and further investigation is underway, he said.
