Tamil Nadu: Palani Murugan Temple Devasthanam reported that last year Panchamritham worth 11 crores was sold from July 1 to November 30, this year more than 15 crores Panchamritham have been sold in the same period, which is about 4 crores more than last year. Devotees believe that Panchamitha, consecrated to Lord Muruga, has the power to cure many diseases. Panchamitha is served as prasadam at many places but the taste of Palani Panchamitha is unique. This Panchamitha is made from five natural ingredients like native sugar, hill banana, cow ghee, honey and cardamom. Pitted dates and raisins are also added for extra taste.
This Panchamitha is made from pure ghee without adding a drop of water. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that Panchamitha is now made completely by machines. Apart from this, Palani Murugan Temple Panchamitha is geocoded. In such a situation, Palani Murugan Temple Devasthanam has said that this year the sale of Panchamrit during Ayyappa season has exceeded Rs 15 crore compared to last year lakhs of devotees After visiting Palaniyandaava, they are buying Panchamitha which is sold as prasad in the temple.
This year also in the current month of Karthikai, lakhs of Ayyappa devotees and other devotees are coming to visit Palaniyandaava every day. Panchamitha is prepared and sold as prasad from the temple to meet the needs of all the devotees.
For the convenience of devotees there are 4 panchamrit outlets only in hill temple and base area 1) Mangamma Mandapam-I, 2) Mangamma Mandapam-II, 3) Basement Information Centre, 4) Park Road, 5) Tourist Bus Stand, 6) Ropcar 7) Winch Station 8) Municipal Bus Stand 9) Thiruvinankudi Temple Complex At 9 locations, in total 13 panchamrit outlets are being run and the demand of devotees is being met so that there is no shortage. In the last rib (1433) year from 01.07.2023 to 30.11.2023 Panchamrit was sold for a total of Rs. 11,87,540/- in the current rib (1434) year. Panchamithetram from 01.07.2024 to 30.11.2024 has been sold for a total of Rs. 15,86,19,125/-.
