Pahadi Korwa Jagatpal became a permanent house owner

Raipur. Roti, Kapda and Makaan are the three most basic needs of life, for the fulfillment of which every person constantly strives. Especially in rural areas where there are limited resources of livelihood, people work hard to fulfill the basic needs of their family, in such a situation, if government assistance is available to fulfill their needs, then one can get rid of the biggest problems of life.

PM Awas Yojana run by the Government of India proved to be a boon for Jagatpal Ram. Under which, his toilet along with a permanent house has been built under PM Janman Awas Yojana in Basti Chhatauri below the mountain. Jagatpal has become the owner of his permanent house and now he is living a happy life. He thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for such a public welfare scheme. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has given instructions to benefit the eligible beneficiaries with public welfare schemes along with basic facilities to the people living in remote areas of the state. Out of these schemes, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has played an important role in realizing the dreams of rural homeless and needy families to have a permanent house.

In the village panchayat Kardana of the development block Manora of Jashpur district, the financial assistance received under this scheme has brought light to the lives of many families. Jagatpal of the Pahadi Korwa community, a special backward tribe living in a remote area of the district, used to live in a hut. Every year during the rainy season, rainwater used to drip from the roof, and there was always a fear of poisonous creatures like snakes and scorpions. Every year the saved money was spent in repairing the roof, there was no arrangement for proper lighting as well.
