Padmashree Dr. Arun Kumar Sharma’s demise is an irreparable loss for all of us: Raman Singh

Raipur. Assembly Speaker Raman Singh has expressed grief over the demise of renowned archaeologist, Padmashree Dr. Arun Kumar Sharma. He played an important role in the excavation of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, Sirpur and Rajim of Ayodhya. The loss of such a son of the state is an irreparable loss for all of us. May Lord Shri Ram grant the departed soul a place at His feet and strength to the family members to bear this grief.

Dr. Arun Sharma was born on 12 November 1933 in Mohdi (Chandkhuri, District Raipur). His primary education took place in Pipariya (Sagar), Mandla, Durg and Bilaspur. Did B.Sc from Raipur Science College and MS from Sagar University in 1958.

Let us tell you that Arun Sharma is the person on whose demand excavation was done at Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya. He also participated in the cross-examination on behalf of Vishwa Hindu Parishad in the Lucknow High Court in the case of the disputed structure of Ayodhya.
