Pachaumi village: Remains of idol found during excavation, claimed to be 1500 years old

Bareilly: During the digging of a field in Pachaumi village of Faridpur area of Bareilly, remains of a statue and an object like the shape of a pitcher were found. Tehsil administration reached the information about this and informed the team of Archeology Department. The remains of the idol and the pitcher are being claimed to be 1500 years old.

There is a temple of Lord Shiva located in Pachaumi village of Faridpur area. People say that this temple dates back to the Mahabharata period. According to belief, Pandavas spent their time here during their exile and established Shivalinga here and worshiped there.
