Oriya BSF jawan dies in Tripura

Kalahandi: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan from Odisha was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Lankamura Iron Bridge in Agartala, Tripura.

The deceased jawan has been identified as Ishwar Chandra Dora, a resident of Belakhandi village under Kesinga police station area of Kalahandi district of Odisha.

Dora, who was a member of the 42nd battalion of the BSF, had left for duty last night from Lankamura Border Outpost (BOP). However, his body was seen near Lankamura Iron Bridge this morning. However, the circumstances under which he died there are not yet known.

Sources said the BSF officials concerned have informed Dora’s family members about her death and are making arrangements to send the body to the native village, where it is expected to be cremated.

Meanwhile, his native village is in mourning after his unfortunate and untimely death.
