Ordinance implemented to prevent unfair means in UP public examinations

Ordinance Enacted: Every year thousands of people appear in government recruitment exams. There is an important update for the candidates appearing for Nurse (Allopathic) Recruitment. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has decided to implement the Uttar Pradesh Government Prevention of Unfair Means in Public Examinations Ordinance 2024 for the upcoming Male and Female Nurse (Allopathic) Main Examination. The exam is scheduled to be held on July 28, 2024. This ordinance was issued by the Uttar Pradesh government on July 1.

Under this ordinance, there are strict provisions against the use of unfair means, fraud and illegal leak or distribution of questionnaires. Involvement in such conspiracies can lead to a fine of up to Rs 1 crore and life imprisonment. Those who will be involved in such things will be dealt with strictly. The main examination for 2,240 posts of male and female nurses will be held at various examination centers in Prayagraj and Lucknow. According to the official notification released by the commission, there are about 171 seats for male candidates and 2069 seats for female candidates. The exam is scheduled to begin at 9:30 am and will continue till 12:30 pm. Candidates are advised to reach their designated place before the reporting time to avoid last minute rush.

This information has been published by the Deputy Secretary of the Commission, Virendra Mani Tripathi. Earlier, the paper of Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer Preliminary Exam 2024 held on February 11 was leaked, due to which the exam was cancelled. It was also reported that the paper-based police constable recruitment exam was cancelled due to paper leak. After these incidents, the Uttar Pradesh government decided to take strict measures and implemented the new ordinance. The registration process for this exam started on September 4, 2023 and continued till October 18, 2023. The preliminary exam for this session was held on December 19, 2023.
