Online IPL betting worth crores was being played in Raipur, Durg crime team raided

Raipur. Durg ASP Richa Mishra has arrested the accused who was running an IPL betting panel from a farm house in Raipur. When the accused Manish was caught by the ASP, he told during interrogation that today was his birthday for which he had organized a party. When the police searched, he was seen taking bets on the match of Punjab Kings and Royal Rajasthan on his mobile and operating the panel of Iron Book. According to the information, ACCU’s ASP Richa Mishra received information about betting on IPL in Padmanabhpur area. On this, the crime team caught a suspect named Chiranjeevi Bhati from Padmanabhpur area.

When the accused Bhati was caught and interrogated, he told about getting the betting done from another youth, Mrityunjay Chandrakar. The team investigated and caught Mrityunjay. When he was interrogated, the name of Manish Legwani of Raipur came up. On which the matter of running a book panel came to light. When the crime team inquired about Manish Legwani, resident of Raipur Avanti Bihar, through technical means it was found that he is in Phundhar area of Raipur. The crime team led by ASP Richa Mishra reached a farm house in Phundhar, Raipur, where a party was going on.

The team raided the party and arrested the accused Manish Legwani who was trying to escape. The crime team brought accused Manish Legwani to Durg, after which he was handed over to Padmanabhpur police station for further action. Padmanabhpur police is taking action under the section of online betting against the accused panel operators Manish Legwani, Mrityunjay Chandrakar, Chiranjeevi Bhati who were involved in online betting. It is being told that the three accused were running a panel of new books at the local level on the lines of Mahadev Book. In this, by connecting link after link, the three accused were doing betting work during IPL. On which the police has taken raid action. At present, the crime team has arrested the accused and handed them over to Padmanabhpur police.
