One person murdered in Dalla Rajputa village
Punjab: Amarjeet Singh of Bhindi Nain village under Bhindi Saida police station was allegedly murdered by unidentified persons at Dalla Rajputa village here on Thursday night. There were injury marks on his face and arms, which were reportedly caused by some sharp weapon.
The police have taken possession of the body and started investigation. Station House Officer of Ajnala police station, Harpal Singh said that a case has been registered in this regard under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
The victim’s brother Nirmal Singh said that his brother had gone to a religious camp at his in-laws’ village Dalla Rajputa on Thursday. He told that he did not return till late evening and his mobile phone was also switched off. He said that when he contacted his father-in-law Harmesh Singh, he told that Amarjeet had not reached there.
He said they started searching for him and were heading towards Baba Bohar Shan Dera in Dalla Rajputa village. On the way, when they reached near the village, they found people gathered in a field. When he went there and saw that it was Amarjeet Singh. His mobile phone and purse were also missing.
There were injury marks from sharp weapons on his body and his bike was also lying there. The victim was married and had four children – three daughters and a son.
Station in-charge Harpal Singh said the investigation was still ongoing to identify the suspects who murdered him.
