Whereas a day earlier the retail price of tomatoes was Rs 80 per kg. This means that the price of tomatoes has increased by Rs 20 per kg in 24 hours. Retailer Pappu says that in the coming days, the price of tomatoes can reach Rs 120 per kg. Pappu, who sells tomatoes in Azadpur Mandi, says that on October 3, he bought tomatoes from the market at Rs 70 per kg. Due to which the retail price went up to more than Rs 80. Whereas when he reached the market on Saturday morning, the price of tomatoes was Rs 80 per kg. Therefore, we are forced to sell it at Rs 100 per kg in retail. Pappu told that after Navratri, there may be a slight improvement in the price of tomatoes.
