On the occasion of World Olympic Day, a net ball match was played in the girls’ school.
On the occasion of World Olympic Day, June 23, a net ball match was played between Mahatma Gandhi Government English School and Matka Chowk School at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Matka Chowk. A large number of girl students participated in this occasion.
The chief guest of the program was senior pediatrician Dr. Darshan Ahuja, who is the president of Net Bal Sangh, Mr. Surjaram Sihag, secretary of the District Olympic Association, the special guest and the program was presided over by the principal of the school, Mr. Naresh Kumar Sharma. Other guests included Treasurer of the Olympic Association Mr. Rajaram Dhaka, Secretary of the Basketball Association Mr. Krishna Kumar Vishnoi, Basketball Coach Mr. Jaswinder Ramana, Mr. Deepak Singh Gill, Mr. Deepak Singh Gill, Mr. Harmandir Singh Jakhar, President of the School, Basketball Coach Mr. Geography Lecturer Mr. Devkaran, Senior Physical Teacher Mr. Om Prakash Godara gave their presence. Chief Guest Dr. Darshan Singh Ahuja congratulated everyone for the successful event. The stage was operated by Mahendra Godara, senior physical teacher and basketball coach of the school.
Earlier, the formal opening ceremony of World Olympic Day took place in 4ML, where Mr. Hansraj, Mr. Banwari Lal Verma, Mr. Sunil Verma were present as guests. Mr. Rajendra Verma, Mr. Hukamaram Sharma were in the jury. The inaugural match was Kho-Kho, in which 4ML team was the winner while Sahuwala was the runner-up. (with photo)
