On the instructions of CSP, police raided the dhaba, 2 smugglers arrested

Raigarh. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel, the action of the District Police against illegal liquor is going on. In the same sequence, last night, City Superintendent of Police Mr. Akash Shukla received information from the informer that liquor was being served illegally to the customers in Lakhan Dhaba located on Urdna Bypass Road. On receiving the information, the City Superintendent of Police immediately left for Urdna along with the Kotwali police. Seeing the police coming in front of the dhaba, the people present there started running here and there.

On the spot, Trilochan Satpati was caught with illegal liquor, in whose possession country plain liquor and beer bottles were found in the bag. Suspect Trilochan Satpati along with his associate Devashish Mahapatra told that they were secretly selling liquor in Lakhan Dhaba, along with which the police took suspect Devashish Mahapatra into custody and interrogated him at Lakhan Dhaba. Suspect Devashish admitted to keeping and selling liquor in the dhaba. The liquor kept inside the dhaba was confiscated on the behest of accused Devashish Mohapatra.

Accused (1) Trilochan Satpathy, father Late Ishwar Charan Satpathy, age 50 years, resident of village Sini, police station Faraswan, district Saraikala Kharswan (Jharkhand) (2) Devashish Mahapatra, father Amalendra Mahapatra, age 32 years, Sakin village Bhalupathra police station Dumaria, district East Singhum (Jharkhand), both are dead. A total of 43 pavs of country/English liquor and 07 pieces of beer have been seized from the possession of Lakhan Dhaba, Urdna Bypass Road Police Station City Kotwali, District Raigarh. Action has been taken against the actions of the accused under section 34(2), 59(a) of the Excise Act in the police station. Head constable Jagdish Nayak, Narendra Yadav and constable Govind Patel were involved in the proceedings.
