The District Collector asked the subdivision officers to monitor all the arrangements themselves and take it seriously. Resources required for flood control should be functional when required, so make sure to prepare from now itself. In view of the possibility of flood or water-logging, keep the available wireless sets functional. Arrangement of boats, defense boxes, ropes, torches, torches, identify the resources available in the district and make arrangements to send them immediately when needed. Identify the eligible persons, non-governmental organizations who can be useful in disaster and make arrangements for the use of the resources available with them.
Along with setting up a control room during the rainy season, the Public Health Engineering Department should ensure the arrangement of pump sets to drain the water from the low-lying areas. On the possibility of more floods, instructions were given to arrange for a large number of pump sets, arrangements for drinking water and proper arrangements for chlorification of drinking water sources. He directed the District Logistics Officer to make arrangements for availability of wheat, kerosene, storage of wheat, kerosene and other food items at fair price shops, arrangements for its distribution and mention of place of distribution, etc. along with transparency of information. He asked the municipal officials to mark the dharamshalas, public places etc. located there for the affected people of low-lying areas with possible water-logging, settlements in higher areas for temporary stay.
