Odisha vigilance raid on JRA in Boudh, caught while accepting bribe of Rs. 25.000

Boudh: There has been an Odisha Vigilance raid on JRA (Junior Revenue Assistant) in Boudh on Wednesday, said reports. Today a short while ago, Choudhury Papun Kumar Dash in Collectorate of Boudh has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance.

According to reports, he has been apprehended by Odisha vigilance while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) from a Proprietor (Complainant) dealing with aquarium products to process file for clearing his pending bill towards setting up an Aquarium Project in Boudh District Museum in the year 2021-22 by him.

The entire bribe money of Rs.25,000/- has been recovered from exclusive possession of accused Dash, JRA and seized. Following the trap of Odisha vigilance raid on JRA, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Dash from DA (Disproportionate Assets) angle.

In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance P.S. case No. 13 dt. 20.08.2024 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Dash, JRA. Detailed report follows.
