Odisha vigilance arrests Athagarh BDO Pradeep Kumar Sahu

Cuttack: OAS Pradeep Kumar Sahu Block Development officer (BDO) of Athagarh Cuttack has been placed under arrest by Odisha Vigilance and will be forwarded today to Court for possession of disproportionate assets.

In this connection, Vigilance Cell PS case No. 07/2024 has been registered against Pradeep Kumar Sahu, OAS, BDO, Athagarh.

Based on searches conducted on properties of Sri Pradeep Kumar Sahu, OAS, Block Development officer (BDO), Athagarh, Dist-Cuttack, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets. The assets include two Buildings, on Flat in Bhubaneswar, three Plots, Deposits over Rs. 47 Lakhs, Cash Rs. 6.11 Lakhs, Gold approximately 452 gms, two Four wheelers etc, which he could not account for satisfactorily.

The following movable and immovable assets have been unearthed so far, in the name of Sahu and his family members:

1) 1 building at Bhalibadi near Old PS, Khrodha.

2) Another building at Raj Sunakhala, Nayagarh with area approximately 1,800 Sqft.

3) One 2-BHK Flat vide No.6, 2nd Floor, Shree Enclave, Goutam Nagar, Bhubaneswar.

4) 3 plots in Khordha and Raj Sunakhala, Nayagarh. The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings, flat and plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.

5) Cash Rs.6,11,770/-.

6) Gold ornaments weighing approx 300 gms including 1 costly Diamond necklace, Silver ornaments approx 500 gms

7) Investment in Mutual fund, Bank & Insurance deposits worth Rs.47,24,853/-.

8) 1 Bank locker being operated at SBI, Main Branch, Bhubaneswar is still to be opened today

9) 2 four wheelers (TATA Tiago & Ciaz) and 3 two wheelers.
