Odisha: STF to trace out Bangladeshi infiltrators

Bhubaneswar: In an effort to curb illegal immigration, the Odisha Police Special Task Force (STF) is likely to come up with a special wing to find Bangladeshi infiltrators.

As per reports, on the 8th March, STF had arrested 10 Bangladeshi nationals. Upon interrogation, the detained individuals admitted to being Bangladeshi citizens.

Meanwhile it has been learnt how Bangladeshi infiltrators are illegally entering India. From the interrogation of the mastermind it has been learned that the broker was charging Rs 35,000 to come to India and Rs 30,000 to return to Bangladesh. The mastermind also gave the broker’s address. Accordingly, now a special wing will catch the broker identified as Jagdish Das.

After completion of the remand period the mastermind has been sent to jail. Accused Md. Hashim had been brought on remand by STF for two-days.

The accused narrated that the Bangladeshi infiltrators were being sent to India by road from Bangladesh via Assam via the Bangladesh border. When the security was a little bit relaxed, that is mostly at night, the infiltrators were being crossed the border.

After examining the scientific evidence of the accused, explosive information have surfaced. After illegally bringing people here from Bangladesh, the broker was making their fake Aadhaar cards and voter IDs.

Reportedly, the dalals were starting the illegal work of immigration after getting money on phone pe etc.

Reportedly, 40 Bangladeshis were caught during the investigation in Delhi and Bangalore. Now, the STF team will go to Delhi, Assam and Bangalore, informed STF SP Ravi Narayan Satapathy.
