Odisha: Miscreants set fire to two newly purchased buses in Rourkela.

Odisha: In Rourkela, some unidentified miscreants allegedly set fire to two newly purchased night buses near the Swapneshwar Temple in Balijhudi late last night. The buses were parked near the temple as they had not yet received their operating permits.

Buses parked without permits

According to reports, the buses belonged to Anaya Kumar Malik, who had brought the two new night buses from Jeypore about 15 days ago. Since the permits had not been issued, the vehicles were parked near the Swapneshwar Temple.

Fire breaks out at midnight

Late last night, unidentified miscreants allegedly broke the windows of the buses and set fire to the curtains inside. One bus was completely gutted in the fire, while the front portion of the other bus was partially damaged.

Locals alert the owner

Locals noticed the fire and immediately informed the bus owner. The owner and his relatives then rushed to the spot and informed the PCR and Tangarpali police. The fire service was also alerted.

Fire service saves one bus

Fire service personnel arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the fire. Although one bus was completely destroyed, the firefighters were able to save the other bus from complete damage.
