Odisha Govt planning to provide new scheme for UG and PG students

Bhubaneswar: Answering a question of BJD MLA Ganeshwar Behera in Odisha Assembly, Education minister Suryabanshi Suraj said that the Government is planning to provide free coaching to the aspirants who are preparing for the Civil Services Examinations.

The minister reportedly answered in the house that amendment will be brought to the University Act 2020.

The University Act, 1989 was amended by the BJD Government in November 2020. “Now it will be amended again,” said the Minister of Higher Education.

The 79-day government has already granted UGC status to Khalikote University. Colleges have been established in 18 blocks in remote areas.

The Minister has informed in the House that 1500 lecturers will be appointed to the colleges.
