Odisha govt issues official notification for regularisation of Schematic Junior Teachers

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government today issued the official notification regarding the regularisation of Junior Teachers (Schematic) engaged in Primary and Upper Primary Schools across the state.

The School and Mass Education Department of the state government issued the notification today. “In supersession of the previous resolutions/guidelines issued in this regard, now, Government after careful consideration have been pleased to regularise the Junior Teachers (Schematic), engaged during the year 2023-24 through due recruitment process and continuing in service, as Asst. Teacher in Level- V(A) of the Elementary Cadre,” read the notification.

“Such Junior Teachers (Schematic) shall be deemed to have been regularised with effect from the date of their respective joining. These teachers shall be allowed notional service benefits up to 31.12.2025. They shall be entitled to draw regular pay/salary and other admissible service benefits of Assistant Teachers in Level-V(A) with effect from 01.01.2026,” it added.

Earlier on March 20 this year, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had made the historic announcement about the regularization of the Junior Teachers, Schematic, who are working on a contractual basis.

The state government’s decision will benefit more than 13,000 contractual junior teachers who were appointed in 2023-24.
