Odisha government introduces new uniforms for Classes 9 and 10, see what has changed
Bhubaneswar: The ninth and tenth-standard students in Government schools of Odisha will now get school uniforms from the Government. According to reports, the students studying in government high schools and government-aided high schools will get uniforms.
Two pairs of clothes, shoes and socks will also be provided. High school students will get this facility under the ‘Mukhyamantri Paridan’ scheme.
Students will come to school with the new look and new color clothes. Odisha government school uniform will be brown coloured instead of the hunter green that was changed last year. For boys there will be brown full pants and light cream shirt while there are brown jackets with brown chudidar and light cream kameez for girl students. It has been reported that the Department of Mass Education has written a letter to the Board of Secondary Education regarding this.
Apparently, in the academic year 2023-24, the then government made the color of the students’ uniforms green. Now it has been decided to change it to a brown colored shirt and light brown pants. All the children studying in high school will be distributed this uniform under the Mukhyamantri Paridan’ scheme.
This has been approved by the Department of Schools and Mass Education and the Board of Secondary Education has been informed. However, there is no information with regards to the fact that when the high school students will get this uniform.
