Odisha deputy CM launches ‘Aamari Sishu’ web portal for real-time child welfare monitoring

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Monday launched the ‘Aamari Sishu’ web portal of the Women and Child Development Department at the State Women and Child Institution.

While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said the ‘Aamari Sishu’ web portal will enable a smooth coordination between District Child Protection Units (DCPU), Child Welfare Committees (CWCs), Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs), Child Care Institutions (CCIs) and other service providers and various stakeholders working in the field of child protection.

Through this ‘Aamari Sishu’ web portal, the working style of child welfare, child nutrition and child protection sector will improve in the state. Child health and nutrition can be tracked accurately with the help of digitally updated data. Through this web portal, the nutrition tracker and child helpline line number 1098 can also be coordinated. This portal can inform the public about the updated information of schemes like Mission Vatsalya, Yashoda, and Aashirbad Yojana, said Parida.

Principal Secretary of Women and Child Development (W&CD) Department Shubha Sarma, Director Monisha Banerjee, departmental officers, along with anganwadi workers and helpers were present at the event.
