Odisha CM reviews ‘Jadu Pedi’ kits meant to enhance early education through play and joyful learning

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today reviewed the ‘Jadu Pedi’ (Magic Box) learning kits meant to enhance early education through play and joyful learning.
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has developed the ‘Jadu Pedi’ kits for students of Shishu Vatika, Class 1, and Class 2 in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
School and Mass Education Department Commissioner-cum-Secretary Shalini Pandit briefed the Chief Minister on the contents and educational value of the ‘Jadu Pedi’ kits at Lok Seva Bhawan.
The Chief Minister expressed his happiness on seeing the items inside the magi box and said, “Small children can learn about the items available in their surroundings and their uses from the toys in this magic box. The toys in this magic box will not only help children learn but will also attract them towards reading.”
As informed by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), each ‘Jadu Pedi’ kit costs around Rs 20,000, and the State Government plans to spend Rs 90 crore to distribute these kits to 45,000 schools across the State.
