Obscene picture of Dhirendra Shastri shared on internet, case filed against accused

Shahjahanpur (IANS) | In Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur district, a person allegedly posted an obscene picture of Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham on social media. A case has been registered on him. Circle Officer (Tilhar) Priyank Jain said that Irshad Hussain, a resident of Dabhaura village in Shahjahanpur district, had shared the post on Facebook.

Local Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Suresh Sharma Pappu filed a complaint saying the post was obscene and hurt religious sentiments of people.

A case has been registered against the accused under sections 153A, 295A and 505(2) of the IPC and the Information Technology (IT) Act.
