Nurpur: Review of monsoon preparations in Nurpur

Nurpur: To prepare the government machinery for the upcoming monsoon season, the local administration today called a review meeting, which was chaired by SDM Gursimar Singh of Nurpur. The meeting was attended by nodal officers appointed from various government departments for the monsoon season. The SDM said that officers and employees of all departments should be available 24 hours during the monsoon season. He also directed the nodal officers to deploy employees for night shifts in their respective departments. He directed the nodal officers of the Public Works Department to ensure proper maintenance of the drainage system of the roads and to keep adequate number of machinery available for drainage in waterlogged areas. Municipal council officials were also instructed to maintain proper communication with the ward members of the city, so that relief work can be carried out without any trouble in case of emergency.
