The railway administration has started action against illegal construction on railway land near railway stations in Kalyan, Shahad, Vitthalwadi and Ambivali areas. Under this, they have taken action against this school. The school management told the media, our school has been in the Waldhuni campus for 58 years. The railway has suddenly ordered us to pay a rent of Rs 2 crore 44 lakh. If we do not follow this order, we have been advised to vacate the school immediately. It is not possible to pay so much money to the school.
Now the internal school examinations of class 10 are about to start. In such a situation, where will we suddenly go with the students and school material? We have filed an application in the Kalyan court against the action of the railway. The railway should give us a deadline. The railway should stop the action. The school management has expressed apprehension in the application that if the railway takes action in a hurry, the future of the students will go into darkness. Former corporator Mahesh Gaikwad met the school management. He said that he is in support of the school. He is not against development. But before taking action, the railways should provide an alternative place for the school. Where will the school management go suddenly with 400 students and their material? No one will provide a new building to the school immediately. That is why they are opposing the railways’ action. They demanded that the government should look into the matter.
