Notice issued to 5 food traders

Rajnandgaon. Rajnandgaon Food and Drug Administration Department officials raided food establishments. Notices have been issued to 5 traders as food items were not found to be properly maintained. Traders were advised to do food business by following the rules.

Hotels, restaurants, grocery shops, dairies are being inspected to protect customers from adulterated, substandard food items during the festive season. Food Safety Officer Domenra Dhruv said that samples of more than 14 food items including paneer from Swagat Hotel of Dongargarh block, dal from Maa Bamleshwari Restaurant, flour from Jaiswal Grocery, sago from Sai Traders and Kaju Katli from Bikaner Sweets in Dongargaon, Kalakand from Gautam Hotel, Kaju Katli from Mansarovar have been sent for testing on the basis of suspicion. Notices were also issued to 5 food traders as proper maintenance was not found in the establishments. Food items were inspected in the shops.
