Nityanand Rai reacted to the controversial statement of DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran.

Patna: Reacting to the clip of DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran in which he made controversial remarks that Hindi speaking people from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar come to Tamil Nadu and do construction work and clean toilets, Union Minister Nityanand Rai Said on Sunday that such people want to do this. Create unrest and division in the country on the basis of North and South zones.

Nityanand Rai also demanded that the parties of Bihar which are part of the India faction should condemn the statement of their ally leader.
“Dayanidhi Maran has given a very objectionable statement. On one hand, PM Modi talks about ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ and today people want to divide North India and South India but this will not happen. The parties of Bihar which are part of the INDI alliance should do the same.” Condemn it,” Nityanand Rai told ANI.

The controversy started after a clip of DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran went viral in which he was saying that those who come to Hindi-speaking Tamil Nadu from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar do construction work or clean roads and toilets.

This clip was also shared by BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala.
In a post on X, Shehzad Poonawala said, “Once again an attempt to play the divide and rule card. First Rahul Gandhi insulted North Indian voters, then Revanth Reddy abused Bihar DNA, then DMK MP Senthil Kumar said “cow urine state” now Dayanidhi Maran insulting Hindi speakers and Hindus/Sanatans of North, then divide And playing the rule card is India’s DNA.”

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala questioned the stand of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD presidents Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav on this issue.

Following Maran’s comments, DMK spokesperson TKS Elangovan made a big allegation on the central government, saying that people from North Indian states are being given preference during recruitment in public sector units (PSUs).

Being more specific, Elangovan further said that Uttar Pradesh also has public sector undertakings but they are not recruiting Tamils.

“Now the government is selecting people from northern states to work in Central PSUs. Even in UP there are public sector undertakings but they are not recruiting Tamils. “Our people are not against anyone coming here. They are doing menial jobs but the Indian government is placing them in high positions and depriving Tamils of their rights,” Elangovan said.
