Nitin Gadkari approves Rs 1,347 crore package for highway projects in Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday said Rs 1,346.81 crore has been sanctioned for 4-laning of National Highway-716 stretch from Tamil Nadu to Puttur border in Andhra Pradesh.
This 20 km project in Andhra Pradesh will upgrade the road to 4-lane. Apart from this, 4-laning will be converted to 6-laning from Mallavaram Junction to Renigunta Junction (17.40 km) on NH-71 in Chittor and Tirupati districts. The minister said that the development of this road will facilitate connecting Tiruthani and Tirupati.
