NIA detained three in Praveen Nettaru murder case

Mangaluru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team on Friday detained three people from Anemahal in Sakleshpur taluk of Hassan district in connection with the murder of Dakshina Kannada district BJP leader Praveen Nettaru.

Praveen Nettaru was a member of the Karnataka BJP Yuva Morcha and was killed by two motorcycle-borne assailants at Belare village in Sullia taluk of Dakshina Kannada district on July 26, 2022.
Mohammad Mustafa alias Mustafa Paicharu of Sullia, Ilyaz and Siraj of Somwarpet have been detained.
It is said that Mohammad Mustafa and Ilyaz had joined Anemhal to work with Siraj. Siraj has also been detained on charges of giving shelter to the accused.
