Newborn son dies, mother reaches police station with dead body, makes serious allegations against neighbors

Mahasamund. Rani, a resident of ward number 11 of Municipal Corporation Saraipali, had reached the police station with her 8-day old newborn dead baby. During this time the woman has accused her neighbors of assault. The woman alleges that when she was pregnant, the neighbors beat her, due to which her child got injured and the child died. In this case, the woman demanded to register an FIR and after taking the complaint, the woman remained sitting in the police station with her family since morning, until the police came into action. In this regard, police station in-charge Shivanand Tiwari says that the woman had a fight with her neighbors 10 to 12 days ago. The woman was pregnant then. On January 1, 24, the woman gave birth to a child. But he died after 7 days.

Now the woman has alleged that she was injured in that fight due to which her child died. The SHO says that on the basis of the woman’s complaint, the police had brought 4 people to the police station for questioning. The entire matter will be revealed after investigation. However, the body has been handed over to the relatives after post-mortem.
