New Delhi: Hindustan Shipyard Limited’s Strong Participation in Defence Conference

Visakhapatnam: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) participated in the two-day National Defence Conference held at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi on March 19 and 20.

This served as a premier platform that brought together defense leaders, industry players, MSMEs, and policymakers to advance India’s defense manufacturing ecosystem. HSL’s booth witnessed a massive turnout of vendors and MSMEs from across the country; this generated significant interest and opened up new avenues for strategic partnerships in both existing and upcoming projects.

HSL’s CMD, G. Venkateswara Rao, accompanied by senior officials, actively engaged with stakeholders, thereby further strengthening HSL’s industrial relations.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited HSL’s booth, where the shipyard highlighted the growing participation of vendors and future opportunities for collaboration. HSL also contributed to key technical sessions; Commodore (Retd.) Rohit Gaur, Senior Chief Project Superintendent, emphasized the importance of defense MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) and lifecycle support, as well as the growing role of MSMEs, while GM Sadashiva Rao outlined opportunities for collaboration in the fields of shipbuilding, modular construction, repairs, upgrades, and export platforms.
