Meteorological department officials said that there is a possibility of torrential rains in the entire city for the next two hours.

Water filled on roads in many areas of Telangana, long traffic jam

GHMC has announced a yellow alert for Bhagyanagar. Meteorological department officials said that there will be rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds at many places. Meanwhile, heavy rains are lashing many districts of Telangana including Hyderabad. Heavy traffic jams occurred due to heavy rains. Major roads were flooded. Rainwater was up to the knees. Drivers are facing a lot of trouble. Vehicles are likely to be stuck for several kilometers.

These states will receive rain during the next 24 hours

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in many states of the country during the next 24 hours. Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha will receive heavy rainfall on August 20, while Arunachal Pradesh will receive heavy rainfall. And the northeastern states will receive heavy rains till August 22. West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya are likely to receive heavy rainfall from August 20 to 22. This is also likely to cause waterlogging in low-lying areas.

Light to moderate rains here

According to the Meteorological Department, sporadic rainfall may occur over Lakshadweep, coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Mahe and other places. Rains are expected in Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka today.
