It was submitted that he is engaged in providing funds through Hawala for the purpose of terrorism from Pakistan under the pretext of Pashmina shawls and carpets business. The money received through hawala was used to finance the activities of Hizbul Mujahideen in Jammu and Kashmir.

Delhi Police said that Javed Ahmed Mattoo’s associates need to be verified and traced in Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir, who were assisting him in carrying out terrorist attacks.
