NCRTC introduces exciting update in ‘RRTS Connect’ app

NCRTC RRTS: The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), which is building the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), has uploaded its official app, allowing users and commuters to track the real-time status of NaMo Bharat trains available at their station in the next 30 minutes. The RRTS Connect app will provide information about the next station in the direction of Delhi or Meerut, its distance and estimated time of arrival. The app also provides a complete timetable of train services for all days of the week, including start and end times.

“NCRTC has introduced exciting updates to the ‘RRTS Connect’ app, making travel on NaMo Bharat trains easier and more convenient. Available on Google Play and Apple Store, the app now includes ticket booking as well as several new features, ensuring a more comfortable journey for commuters on the country’s first RRTS corridor,” an official statement said. Passengers can book their travel tickets under the “Plan your journey” option on the RRTS Connect app, which accepts payments through UPI, debit or credit cards, and net banking. Users can also access their transaction history to review details of their previous trips and download invoices. The “Feeder Bus Service” feature of the app provides comprehensive information about bus stops near the journey starting point and the nearest available RRTS station, including bus arrival and departure times for better travel planning.

“Further, RRTS passengers can book bikes, autos, and cabs at stations through a link to the Rapido app, making ride booking easier. These features effectively address the critical need for last-mile connectivity,” the statement said. The Station Feature option is a “true game-changer” that provides comprehensive information to enhance the travel experience. It displays the name and location of the nearest RRTS station, as well as nearby major landmarks. Details about availability of drinking water and toilets, status of entry and exit gates, and which gates are open for passengers are also included. The app provides platform information, train directions, and operational status of lifts and escalators. Additionally, it also provides parking information, showing the number of two-wheeler and four-wheeler parking spaces available. The app also includes a complete station layout design of the platform and concourse level, making navigation and planning easier.

Apart from this, the contact number of the station control room is also provided in the app. Passengers can contact the control room for assistance or send WhatsApp messages for help or suggestions. The ‘RRTS Connect’ app also provides information about major attractions near RRTS corridor stations and includes a system map for passengers to know about all stations on the corridor. The “Lost and Found” feature on the app lists all recovered items, along with the date, time and station where they were found, and the process of recovery. The “Register Complaint” section allows passengers to register complaints and suggestions. The new features of the RRTS Connect app provide passengers with the necessary tools and information, ensuring convenient and comfortable travel on Namo Bharat Trains. Currently, a 34 km section between Sahibabad and Modi Nagar North of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor is operational. It connects Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Duhai Depot, Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South and Modi Nagar North. The NCRTC expects the entire route between Delhi and Meerut to be completed by June 2025.
