Naxalite killed on Odisha border, explosive material seized

Gariaband. A male Naxalite has been killed in an encounter in Gariaband district. It is being told that there was an encounter between the police and Naxalites on the Odisha border in Gariaband district. A Naxalite died after being shot.

Navrangpur Police and Odisha SOG have taken major action on the border of Gariba forest of Shobha police station area. The team had gone on operation last night on the information of Naxalite presence. After firing several rounds of bullets, the Naxalites ran towards CG border. During this the team opened fire. A Naxalite died after being shot.

The police team has also recovered many items of daily use and explosives. Soldiers are still present at the spot.
