Naveen Jindal takes charge as President of Indian Steel Association
New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Jindal Steel & Power Chairman Naveen Jindal has been unanimously elected President of the Indian Steel Association (ISA) by the Apex Committee, the governing body of ISA. He takes over as Chairman of ISA from Dilip Oommen, CEO, AMNS India and Executive Vice President, ArcelorMittal, on March 21, 2024. The Apex Committee members appreciated the leadership of Dilip Omman, who steered ISA as its President when the industry faced various critical issues. Naveen Jindal is the Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power (JSP), India’s leading industrial conglomerate with interests in steel, mining and infrastructure sectors. Naveen Jindal is a famous Indian industrialist and philanthropist.
He is known for successfully fighting a ten-year long legal battle, which resulted in every Indian receiving the ‘right to display the national flag on all days’ as their fundamental right. He was also elected twice to the Indian Parliament where he served as an MP for 10 years.
