Naveen Jindal accused of sexual harassment by woman

Naveen Jindal: Founder of an Indian NGO, through a post on Abu Dhabi. Jindal responded to her post, saying that he has a “zero-tolerance policy on these matters”, promising investigation and necessary action. The woman, whose name has been concealed to conceal her identity, is an Indian national with experience in public policy and social justice, and is currently a member of an institute based in the United States. “I share an incident that happened to me on a flight from Calcutta to Abu Dhabi (transit to Boston). I am very grateful to the Etiihad staff and Abu Dhabi police for supporting me. I was sitting next to an industrialist… He must have been around 65 years old and he told me that he now lives in Oman but travels frequently. He started a conversation with me: a very normal conversation about our roots, family, etc. He is from Churu in Rajasthan… and both his sons are married and settled in the US, etc. The conversation moved on to what my hobbies are. “He asked me if I like watching movies and I said, absolutely,” he wrote.

“Then he tells me he has some movie clips on his phone. He takes out his phone and headphones to show me porn! He started groping me. I was frozen with shock and fear. 😂😂 I ran to the bathroom and complained to the air staff,” the post added. “Luckily, the Etihad team was very proactive and acted immediately. They made me sit in my seating area and served tea and fruits. He kept calling them asking where he had gone. As soon as the plane doors opened, the staff also informed the Abu Dhabi police who were waiting. “I couldn’t continue complaining as I would have missed my connecting flight to Boston,” he wrote. In response to his post, Jindal wrote: “.Thank you for reaching out and talking! It took a lot of courage to do what you did and I want you to know that we have a zero tolerance policy for these cases. “I have asked the team to investigate the matter immediately and then strict action will be taken.” She replied, “I appreciate your response, Mr Jindal. I too look forward to action.”
