National Revenue Service, Skills Study Scholarship: 6,695 Students Selected

Tamil Nadu: The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu, released a final list on Sunday, announcing that 6,695 school students have successfully cleared the selection process to become beneficiaries of the ‘National Income-Generation and Skill Education Scholarship Scheme.’
A press release issued in this regard states: The ‘National Merit-cum-Means Scholarship’ (NMMS) is awarded to Class 8 students studying in government and government-aided schools recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The Directorate of Government Examinations conducted an examination on January 10 to select recipients for this NMMS scheme for the academic year 2025-2026.
The marks secured by the students were published on February 18. Subsequently, a window from February 18 to February 24 was provided to allow for corrections regarding details such as students’ dates of birth and caste categories. These corrections have now been completed, and the final list of selected candidates—including the names of their respective schools—has been published.
Accordingly, 6,695 students have been selected across Tamil Nadu. The selection list for this scholarship can be accessed on the website (within the ‘Other Scholarships’ section) on the page titled ‘National Income and Skill Training Scholarship Scheme Selection Results.’
Furthermore, it has been noted that this list remains subject to review by the ‘Directorate of School Education’ based on other eligibility criteria.
