National News: Manoj Pandey was given a guard of honor at the post

National News: Outgoing Army Chief General Manoj Pandey was on Sunday given a guard of honour by the Indian Army as it was his last day of tenure in Delhi. Pandey is retiring after a tenure of 26 months. He also paid floral tribute at the National War Memorial on the occasion. In a rare move, the government last month extended Gen Pandey’s tenure by a month, six days ahead of his retirement on May 31. Earlier this month, the government had announced that Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi would take over as the current Army Chief.
