Nashik: Gang of thieves arrested in Harsul, Trimbakeshwar areas
Maharashtra: Nashik rural local crime branch has succeeded in arresting the gang involved in looting and breaking into houses in Harsul and Trimbakeshwar area. Five persons including a child in conflict with law have been detained and Rs 17,000 has been seized from them. The suspects are prisoners and have cases registered against them in various police stations of the district. The suspects have been handed over to Harsul police.
The thieves looted valuables worth more than Rs five lakh from the house of Bhagwan Mahale in Velunje village. The theft took place at the house of Ajay Dhongde in Harsul area. In view of the theft and robbery at gunpoint, Superintendent of Police Vikram Deshmane reviewed the undeclared crimes in the district and gave instructions to uncover the crimes. The team of local crime branch inspector Raju Surve guessed that the suspects were from Nashik city area based on the manner of committing the crime in both the crimes, the clothes they were wearing and their dialect. Accordingly, after taking information, Aditya Sonawane (25, resident of Shamsherpur), Kiran Jadhav (23, resident of Jadhav Sankul), Gopal Udde (29, resident of Velunje), Sunny Katare (21, Gangapur village) and a child in conflict with law were detained from Chunchale, Ambad and Gangapur areas of Nashik city. The suspects confessed to committing crimes in Trimbakeshwar and Harsul areas in the last two months by renting a four-wheeler from Ajay Prasad (resident of Jadhav Sankul). Rs 17,000 was seized from the possession of the suspects and they were handed over to Harsul police. The suspects have serious cases registered against them like robbery, forcible theft, housebreaking and causing hurt in Nashik city, Nashik rural and Ahilyanagar districts.
