Nashik: 407 schools included in the Right to Education for All process
Maharashtra: Under the Right to Education Act, the process of filling online applications for school admission to bring children from disadvantaged sections of society into the mainstream of education will be started from Tuesday till January 27. 407 schools of the district have participated in this process. The education department has appealed to the concerned parents to pay attention to this. 25 percent admissions in class 1 or pre-primary classes in self-financed, non-aided, police welfare and municipal schools are reserved to bring children from economically weaker sections into the mainstream of education. This year 407 schools have participated in this process. This includes Marathi, Hindi, English, Urdu, Gujarati medium schools.
Parents can apply for admission for children of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Nomadic Tribe, Other Backward Class, Special Backward Class, Economically and Socially Backward, HIV infected or HIV affected children, orphans, disabled (whose parents’ annual income is less than one lakh). In view of the technical difficulties in filling the application, information about the help center has been provided on the RTE portal. Parents should contact these centers and fill the correct information. The education department has appealed to the parents to submit the application within the stipulated time
