Nagaland : GPS, RD Block North Kikruma, celebrates 50th Golden Jubilee

Nagaland: Government Primary School (GPS), RD Block, North Kikruma, celebrated its 50th Golden Jubilee, marking five decades of educational service since 1975. The event also featured the 35th General Session of the North Kikruma Students’ Union.
Themed “Retrospect: Reignite, Focus,” the event took place at the GPS grounds and brought together community leaders, students, and residents to honor the school’s legacy in North Kikruma village, Phek district.
Guest speaker Dr. Neisatuo Mero, MLA, Government of Nagaland, emphasized the importance of staying connected to one’s roots and urged those present to “stay connected to the village, respect one’s home and village, and remain deeply connected to one’s identity, tradition, and culture.”
He explained how these foundations foster courage and community pride in Nagaland’s hill villages, encouraging students to cultivate a competitive spirit, strive for progress while respecting heritage, and combine faith with hard work to preserve institutions like GPS for generations to come.
The celebration included cultural performances, reminiscing about school journeys, and a Students’ Union session to rekindle the spirit of learning. The organizers praised the leaders and people of North Kikruma village for their continued support and their spirit of collaboration.
