Nagaland Bypoll: Congress Candidate T. Chalukumba Ao Files Nomination

Nagaland: Congress candidate T. Chalukumba Ao filed his nomination on March 23 for the by-election to be held on the 28 Koridang (ST) Assembly seat in Nagaland.
The party had previously announced his candidature on March 21. On this occasion, State Congress President S. Expressing confidence, Supongmeren Jamir stated that the party expects a stellar performance in the by-election. After filing his nomination, T. Chalukumba Ao remarked that, to ensure victory, he would conduct a vigorous election campaign with the cooperation of party leaders and grassroots-level workers.
This by-election became necessary following the demise of five-time MLA Imkong L. Imchen; he passed away on November 11 last year.
The deadline for filing nominations is March 23, while voting for the by-election is scheduled to take place on April 9.
