Mustard Field Day concludes
Bundi: Under the National Food Security Mission, cluster first row demonstration of mustard crop (variety Pusa Mustard-32) was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra in village Mohanpura tehsil Indragarh. In the demonstrations, Mustard Field Day was organized on Friday to give information to other farmers of the village about the results of the production of mustard variety Pusa Mustard-32 on the farmers’ fields through integrated crop management method and the farmers’ own experiences. . In which 30 progressive farmers of the village participated.
Senior Scientist and Chairman told that by Indira Yadav, Horticulture Scientist and Nodal Officer (Demonstration) of the Centre, by adopting integrated crop production methods and integrated pest disease management techniques, farmers can increase their income by getting maximum yield of mustard and the mustard produced can be used for future use. It can be used in the form of seeds for sowing and can also be sold to other farmers for sowing. Due to which farmers can buy and use this variety at the village level itself. Also, farmers were given information about advanced agronomic methods of mustard and told that mustard variety Pusa Mustard-32 is a biofortified variety. Its oil is best for human consumption. In which the amount of erucic acid is less than 2.0 percent.
He said that the farmers who came on the field day expressed the possibility of good production from mustard variety Pusa Mustard-32. During this, senior research scholar Deepak Kumar provided assistance.
